Baseball Bat Murder

Here's a murder that only Dennis Henigan can be proud of.

From NZHerald.co.nz: Fight over son led to murder

Brad Callaghan was told he was not the father of his son, moments before murdering his ex-partner by repeatedly hitting her on the head with a baseball bat.

Yeah, that's DenHen's fav-or-ite killin method. 'Cause you can only kill one or two with a baseball bat or a knife.

He said Ms Thomas told Callaghan their son was being bullied at school and should be moved. She also told him: "You don't have any say in this because you're not his father.''
Mr Grieve said Callaghan's reaction was "well out of proportion'' but it provided some level of understanding of what had happened.
Crown prosecutor Simon Moore SC said the attack was "sustained and forceful'' and made worse by the fact it occurred inside Ms Thomas' home, where she had a right to feel safe.

"Sustained and forceful", it's a shame she wasn't allowed to have a firearm to protect herself. Very strict firearm laws in NZ.

"Ms Thomas was struck to the head with at least eight blows using a weapon we now know is a child's baseball bat.''
He said Callaghan's attack caused Ms Thomas' skull to be fractured. He said partway through the attack there was a "lull'' and a neighbour heard Ms Thomas scream before hearing a man's voice say: "shh... shh, its okay, be quiet.''
"Despite that,'' Mr Moore said, "Ms Thomas was hit again to the back on the head.''
He said it was the second set of blows that finally killed her.

What horror she must have been going through. Imagine for a moment, that Callaghan had used a firearm instead. The neighbor that heard the "shh... shh, its okay, be quiet." could have heard a gunshot and called police right away. Perhaps even Ms Thomas would still be alive.

Yep, a murder only DenHen would be proud of.

  1. Are you retarded? I guess it's not like anyone in the United States has been killed with a baseball bat, right? Not to mention that with your more liberal gun laws the US has a murder rate per capita almost three times greater than ours. I suppose I can take solace in the fact no-one seems to read your delusional ranting anyway. Seek help.

You're taking offence for no reason and apparently missed the point of this post. I was taking aim at Dennis Henigan who made the comment that it would be better for people to be killed with baseball bats and knives rather than firearms.

But the US has a lower violent crime rate. I see you're under the impression that it's better to be beaten and raped than for a violent felon to be killed. The 2010 Violent crime rate for NZ is 1152.68, in comparison, the US has a violent crime rate of 403.6. Furthermore, other studies have shown that states with the strictest gun control laws have a higher rate of violent crime and gun crime compared to the states that are less restrictive.

I suppose I can take solace in the fact no-one seems to read your delusional ranting anyway.

You are incorrect, no one comments, but enough readers to continue posting.
