* DGUs outside of the home, July end of month

July 14, 2013:
Philadelphia bar owner closed up shot and drove home, only to be followed by three thugs that wanted what they didn't work for. The armed yoots demanded cash but what they got was embarrassed. The bar owner pulled his concealed handgun and went all Hollywood and shot the gun out of one of the thugs hands. Not wanting to stick around for a shootout with Quick Draw McGraw, the other two perps fled the scene. The victimized villain was transported to Hahnemann Hospital in serious condition. What's not noted is if his serious condition is related to the gunshot wound or his ego as a thug.

July 15, 2013:
42-year-old James Hayes, of Ambridge, PA, wasn't about to brake no gun lawz to commit an armed robbery, so he did the next best thing. Hayes grab himself a BB gun and entered a convenience store to commit an armed robbery. The clerk wasn't having any of that nonsense and pulled his own gun. After a tussle, Hayes made a break for it. Not living on the edge enough, Hayes then broke into a woman's apartment nearby, only to have his getaway foiled by her going outside to notify the police that he was there. Interim Police Chief James Mann said Hayes “is one of the world’s dumbest, and luckiest to be alive, criminals.” Luckiest, maybe. Dumbest, we'll see about that.

July 16, 2013:
Larry Kidd, 29, and Jason Penley, 24, both of Bluefield, WV, tried their hands at armed robbery. The first was at Patty’s at the Bluefield Plaza on Cumberland Road, a video lottery parlor, where the duo made of with some chump change. Not happy with their small take, or needing a place to rest, they continued on to the Economy Inn, also on Cumberland Road. Details are scarce, but apparently they demanded something with their ax handle and knife, but demanded it from the wrong person. The clerk pulled a gun and Penley sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest. I'm guessing that kind of deflated his ambitions of being a successful armed robber. Penley was transported to the hospital for his phisical wounds. Both have been charged in the robberies.

July 19, 2013:
An unnamed Superfool walked into the Fuel Expo in Houston, TX, to grab some beer, and extra pocket money. He set the beer on the counter and asked for a donation to his cause. At gunpoint, the clerk gave our fool of the day some cash, then pulled his own handgun. Instead of giving up, this natural fool wanted to have a shootout, and he got what he wanted. The clerk and fool exchanged gunfire and after the thug took a couple of hits, he decided it was time to flee. He hopped into his Ford Astrovan getaway mobile, leaking blood all over, then crashed it a short distance from the robbery. Not yet having learned not to pull a gun on people, he drew his firearm again on the crowd of people that assembled to help him and demanded that someone give him a ride. Watch what you ask for, the police arrived just in time to get him a ride to the hospital. No word on his condition, other than being Ginormously stupid. Lucky for him no one in the crowd shot him again. The clerk and customers were uninjured.

July 19, 2013:
Two Alameda, Ca, armed thugs walked into the Bonfare Market to rob the joint. Yes, that's the same California where it's illegal to carry a firearm without permission from the state, and few get that permission, oh, and it's illegal to rob people too, so don't get no ideas. Ignoring the prohibition on carrying a gun, and robbing people, the thugs continued with their plan, 'cause in Kali, it's mostly safe for thugs. Little did they realize, there was another armed fella in the store, who, fearing for his life, and the lives of the employees opened fire. Once the smoke cleared, one thug laid Dead Right There and the other is still on the run, possibly injured.

Alameda police Sgt. Wayland Gee said "A confrontation occurred, and the deputy feared for his safety, as well as the safety of the employees who were working in the store at the time." Yep, the gun toter was a cop 'cause only the police can fear for their lives and need to protect themselves.
UPDATE: The second dummy was located at a hospital seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.

July 22, 2013:
A San Bernardino dood was pulling a security gig at a Muscoy business when he was attacked by several armed people. He pulled his handgun and shot 23-year-old Esteban Fierro at least one time. Fierro was transported to a local hospital and was then transferred to cold storage the next day. This was reported by Redlands Daily Facts, apparently they choose not include details. Hey, it's Kali, whadda you expect.

July 22, 2013:
An unnamed woman was pumping her own gas, like a woman should be doing, after she prepares supper for her man, at the Gulf gas station on the south side of Houston, TX, when some jackwagon walked up and started giving her a hard time. After not taking "No, I'm not having sex with you, you freakin perverted sleaze scum", for an answer, he continued with his sexual advances and then pulled out a knife. What's that those gun prohibitionists say, "don't carry a gun 'cause it only escalates the violence"? Yeah, well, escalating violence is apparently what the Texas gal had in mind when she pulled out a freaking rifle and shot dumbass dood Dead Right There. Dead dood's brother sez she didn't have to shoot him 'cause he didn't have a gun. Yeah, 'cause he only going to stab her a few times and that's OK.

July 24, 2013:
18-year-old Donquell Henry and his unnamed accomplice were hanging out at a Westwego, LA, park robbing people, and remaining at the park, presumably to rob more people. One of the victims, a 12-year-old boy, was held at gunpoint by the thugs and robbed of his watch. The boy and his sister told their father who pulled his hand gun, held it behind his back and approached the blossoming thugs. He demanded the watch back, took the thugs' real pistols and made them lay down on the ground to wait for police. A bystander who was not only not happy with the detainment, but angry about it caused a melee that led to the accomplice's escape. Welcome to thug park, please leave your valuables at home. Henry admitted to police that he was carrying a gun but denied using it in a robbery. I'm sure we'll be reading about Henry some more.

July 24, 2013:
A Houston man returned home to find some perp running off with his air conditioner. That there be a shootin' offense in the south. The suspect fled the scene like it was a hostile environment and the homeowner gave chase, as did his neighbors. The perp was located hiding in a backyard several blocks away and was taken to the local bars n breakfast by the Po-Po. Houston PD Blue gave credit to Tex for assisting with the capture. The reason the thug gave for stealing the A/C was that he needed it. Let's hope he never needs a liver.

July 26, 2013:
After taking a double dose of stupid, a 22-year-old man walked into a Beaverton, OR, gun store and attempted an armed robbery with a baseball bat and knife. The gunshop employee was tipped off to the robbery when the dummy smashed the display case with the bat and grabbed a pistol. The clerk grabbed his own pistol and held the fool for police.

July 28, 2013:
Two would-be robbers approached a man on Buffalo's east side in an attempt to rob him. Ordinarily this would be an easy job, except the intended victim was legally carrying a concealed handgun. It's unknown if the robbers were armed, but they definitely have bullets now. Both robbers were taken to Erie County Medical Center, one with serious injuries. The head of the Criminal's Union was quoted as saying, "This is crap! The citizens are supposed to be disarmed! This is utter crap!"
UPDATE: The ventilated thugs have been identified as 21-year-old Bernard Byrd III and 19-year-old Robert Moore and they were armed.
UPDATE: The self defense law is now being questioned because "loopholes". Why is everything gun related a loophole instead of being in compliance with the law?

July 29, 2013:
Some dude was chowin' down on his breakfast at an Atlanta area Waffle House when a thug entered the restaurant about 2 a.m. brandishing a pistol and demanding money. The customer clearly misunderstood and thought the thug ordered two eggs and a side of bullets. Being a Southern gentleman he obliged. The suspect, who remains unidentified at this time, was transported to Grady memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

July 29, 2013:
A Cleveland, OH, man and his woman were leaving his house around 12:30 a.m. when they were approached by two thugs, one armed with a pistol, the other with a crowbar. Apparently they were there for tea a cake and this was evidenced by the woman being struck on the head with the crowbar and the man being hit with the gun. The handgun toting, mask wearing thug attempted to pull the man from his car, at which time the man pulled his own handgun and delivered several well placed shots that left the suspect Dead Right There. The unsub, apparently forgetting they arrived there by car, fled on foot. City Councilman Mike Polensek, who lives a few doors down, supports the ground standing citizen and sez, "...had he not taken the action he had taken he would have been another young dead black kid in this city..." The coroner IDed the dead dood as 23-year-old Waymone Williams and the cause of death will likely be an overdose of stupid, oh, and some bullet holes in his body. Williams, a black dood, has previous arrests for burglary and weapons violations. It's a good thing they have all those laws to keep these scofflaws off the streets. I'm sure Sharpton is all over this.

July 29, 2013:
Ordinarily, armed robbery in Newark, NJ, is a pretty safe occupation due to the very strict gun control law that prevent persons not inclined to break the law to remain defenseless. 19-year-old Kyle Cross and his 16-year-old accomplice firgured the best way to amass a fortune in free money is to start at an early age. An unnamed Newark man was visiting with friends around 2:30 in the morning on the corner of what appears to be a very nice residential neighborhood when thug one and thug two approached him and attempted to rob him at gun point. The Newark man apparently didn't realize that victims are supposed to just turn over their possessions to thugs and drew his legally concealed handgun. Gunfire erupted and both suspects donated blood to the streets. Both suspects are being treated for lead poisoning and mopery. The citizen, who was lucky enough to be legally carrying a concealed firearm, was being treated for unspecified trauma. He also works for the county as a corrections officer and can legally carry a firearm because only the police get robbed in the city.

Cross' criminal career started in 2012 with several drug charges, employing a juvenile in the commission of a crime and two weapons offenses and was most recently arrested on 06/19/2013 and released 07/12/2013.

July 31, 2013:
Checking his man card at the door, an armed and timid would-be robber walked into a PIttsfield, MI, Golfside Market with a riffle and demanded that the clerk put his hands up. The clerk complied, but had his own pistol in his hand at the time. I'm pretty sure that's not what the mope had in mind when he said "put your hands up". Pro tip, when you're wearing a winter ski mask and carrying a rifle into a store, somebody is probably going to be ready for you, just sayin'.

July 31, 2013:
Reginaldo Morales walked into a Sullivan City, TX, convenience store with a shotgun in hand in an attempt to rob the place. What wasn't so convenient was the owner Jackie Channed his ass and took his shotgun away. Scared and confused, Morales ran out of the store, empty handed, and was captured by the Boys in Blue moments later. No one was hurt, except Morales' pride.

  1. Please check the facts on the July 16 post regarding the robbery suspects Larry Kidd and Jason Penley. According to reports - they robbed Patty's with a knife, axe handle and possibly a handgun and made of with approximately $200 and customer's jewelry. The shooting happened at the Econo Lodge after the two argued. They were tracked down at the Econ Lodge, where they were "laid up" after their getaway ride left without them. The shooting was not by a clerk at the facility--Penley was shot by his criminal buddy.
