More UK Madness

THANK YOU SayUncle for this

From The Sun. Health & safety officials ban hot drinks – from a COFFEE morning

Volunteers have been ordered to change the name of the Friday morning sessions from 'Coffee and Play' to just 'Baby Play'.

ORDERED to change the name. Why not just offer cold coffee?

And the Anti-Rights Establishment sing in harmony "UK is just a free as the US, they just have less 'gun deaths'." Be that as it may, the UK still has a Violent Crime Rate 5 times that of the US.

Getting back to the article:

Biscuits have also been replaced by healthy snacks including fruit and bread sticks.

AHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Follow the Gestapo

Claire Ferguson | Staff Columnist over at Student Life, the independent newspaper of Washington University in St. Louis since 1878  has apparently been indoctrinated either by her school or some other representative of the anti-rights establishment. She typed up a piece titled Stricter gun control needed.

She starts her screed with:

In light of the recent shooting at Chardon High School in Ohio....While we do have a constitutional right to bear arms, in light of this tragedy and others similar to it, the argument can be made that there should be tighter regulations on how those guns are purchased and what can be done with them.

Dennis Henigan is a MONSTER!

via thirdpower
In a HuffPo piece, Dennis A. Henigan Vice President, Brady Campaign; writes, regarding school shootings:

Give these violent individuals baseball bats or knives instead of guns and everything changes.

DenHen is involved with an organization that started out as Handgun Control, Inc. (that says a lot about them) but then changed their name to Brady Campaign and now advocates the banning of riffles, too. All of this because of a violent act. But here, DenHen is advocating the use of baseball backs and knives by would-be shooters. Perhaps he could call the family of this mom and son who were beaten to death with a baseball bat and let them know that their loss doesn't count, because it wasn't a 'gun death'. Or, maybe he will call this young couple's family, and explain to them that the death of their loved ones isn't as tragic because a gun wasn't used. Let's not forget Barry Winchell, who was beaten to death with a baseball bat. The list goes on, and on. Hey, DenHen, why don't you call up Eugenio Rosales' family and tell them that the loss of their loved one doesn't count, you know, because a gun wasn't used.

He says nothing about intervention or prevention, just change the murder weapon and it's all better. That's a true class act right there.

He also spews this crap:

Take the guns from Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris and 13 students and teachers would not have died at Columbine High School, nor would 21 others have been injured.

Really? Hey Dumbass, they built 99 improvised explosive devices. The only reason the death toll wasn't higher, is because the two shooters were too dumbass to build a working bomb.

He continues with this junk:

It was undisputed that the Columbine killers exploited the "gun show loophole" to acquire their weapons

They used a straw buyer that could have passed a background check, dipshit.

Microstamping and why it's bad

Microstamping. If the anti-rights establishment supports something that may sound like common sense, it's usually a bad thing. On the face of it, the concept of microstamping may sound like a good idea. Basically it works like this. You fire a pistol, the firing pin imprints a serial number on the primer and another device imprints a serial number on the side of the casing. Bullets recovered at a crime scene can be examined and, if all the world is in harmony, the serial number can be read and the criminal can be tracked down and prosecuted. Great, right? No, and here's why.

Truth? You can't handle the truth!

"think of the kids, man". Yep, I get that a lot when discussing child access prevention (CAP) laws regarding firearms. It seems that the anti-rights establishment is pushing for access prevention laws, not just for children, but teens, young adults and, well everyone. Think of the kids, man. Let's assume for a moment that these anti-rights bigots truly are concerned with the welfare of the kids. If so, firearms must be the biggest threat to children, including teens, so let's look at the facts that we have. Over at the CDC, they keep a searchable database of what kills people and the age, race and gender of the deceased. I conducted a few searches about what kills children ages 0-17 and this is what I found.

Brady Bunch at it again.

Over at the Washington Post, Valerie Strauss wrote a piece titled Why it is easier for a kid to get a gun in Ohio than in many other states

She starts with

It is not clear yet how the teenager accused of staging a deadly assault on students at a Ohio high school obtained the weapon he allegedly used, but the state’s gun laws don’t make it hard for young people to get their hands on a gun.
